People say this went downhill after Kurosawa wasn’t so badass anymore, but I like that the fun ended at some point in the middle so that the ending could be taken seriously. Really liked how it ended, and I’m looking forward to the very last chapter.

Hmm, from the way people were talking about the ending early on i thought that it was gonna be a downer ending, i guess thats a pleasant change, nice to see some Sugawa too, always liked her. Kitahara got pretty emo pretty quickly though, but I guess its good to see she recovered.

I was so rooting for a killing spree ending with Kitahara and Kurosawa killing or mutilating their classmates for being a bunch of subhuman, retarded pieces of garbage who like to torment a helpless, lonely girl (or ignore her plight) until she becomes an emo. Calm down, Mindy, it’s just a manga, the author isn’t at fault, it’s Japanese society conditioning them to follow the herd that made the coolest protagonist of a school-life manga I can think of change into such a despicable character.
Also, all those enthusiastic comments on how the ending was “good” make me want to puke. Seriously.
So you wanted a Nice Boat ending. Well too bad so sad. We got a happy ending and you do realize that they wanted to apologize to Kitahara (atleast Sugawa did).
This manga had nice turns, had more then just fapping and hatred. It had your rage moments, your fuck yah moments, and your sad moments.
I love how you say he went from jerking off in the bathroom of a girls locker to becoming a semi normal person of society (though hes still hated by a lot of people and still has his nickname) despicable. Just because he didnt stay your beloved bathroom jerking shut out doesnt mean the author is trying to make a manga that is conditioning them to follow the herd. Maybe he wanted a happy ending and not a fucking nice boat ending, and this way its pretty happy for what has happened.

You are a retard, aren’t you? They wanted to apologize? They made her almost commit suicide by tormenting her for years. An apology wouldn’t do shit for me if I was Kitahara, not to mention that they never actually did ask for her forgiveness. Sugawa stopped her bullying because she grew tíred of it and, even though she expressed her annoyance, didn’t really care that others took her place.
You think this was a happy ending? It was forced and stupid. I need to grow up? You need to grow a brain.
By the way, Kurosawa was a great character before he joined the brain-dead lot, he didn’t even harm anyone who didn’t deserve it. Also, jerking off in a bathroom at school isn’t really something bad, joining the group who tortured your friend and trying to coerce her into forgiving them on the other hand, is.
Seriously, it’s quite saddening to see this many supporters of the ending.
I had been bullied for almost the whole 3 years in my middle school. In the end, I forgave them all for doing terrible things to me — and without them asking for my forgiveness. Why? Holding grudges only hurts yourself. People grow up. The bully was over. Better be happy and move on. Am I stupid? I don’t think so, and I’m happy.
So I think this story is realistic, based on my experience, and the ending is great.

If I recall correctly, it was because she was going to cram school and didn’t have the time.
The people in this series are young, and young people make mistakes. As Sugawa began to mature, she realized what she did was wrong, and as such, she wanted to apologize.
Yeah, saying ‘Sorry I tormented you for three years of your life’ isn’t really going to make what happened go away, but it is better than doing nothing.
I think the transition the author did into showing how pretty much everybody, not just Kurosawa, matured as they began to grow up was a bit cheesy and cliche at some points, but done well overall.

I agree with WHITE JUICE on this. This manga isn’t your goddamn harem School Days/Higurashi shit. I beleive that this kind of ending is hundreds if not thousands times better than your casual “go insane and kill everyone” typical ending of every plot ever. Kurosawa had balls, he manned up and took judgement. First, He SERVED judgement. Then, He GOT judgement, and was punished for it. His classmates arent mindless subhumans. Theyre normal people, like everyone else you would find in a classroom. Would you continue to respect a guy that did such filthy crimes in a classroom? FUCK NO of course not, but he had the will to change himself rather go into a downward spiral.

There were a bunch of 2ch memes in this manga, I’m kind of wondering how many people caught them. Speaking of which, I haven’t seen the raw, but… could the dialogue in the bubble in the upper left of page 11 in chapter 28 (“use all your powers…”) possibly have been 「全力で」 in the original? ;)
Yeah it looks like I made a noob mistake there, after looking at the raw again I think it should go more like “I’ll give it my best shot…” because what she actually says is フルボッコしてやる… idk what I was thinking at the time. Oh well.
… huh? Well, looks like I “caught” a reference that wasn’t there, haha :P But I looked at the raw (found it on mangahelpers), and I’d translate her first two speech bubbles on that page as: “Come out, whoever invented this shit” “I’ll fucking beat you to a pulp”
考えた奴 probably refers to “whoever thought of [simultaneous equations]” (see dialogue on the previous page). At least, that’s how I’d read it. フルボッコする seems to refer to beating someone up thoroughly, in normal usage, so it fits into that context a bit better, I think.

Hey, Emergency Exit; I know you’ve done a lot of great work on a series like this and I would love it if you would look into a series called Ressentiment. Currently there are 29 chapters out and they are translated, but so far the groups responsible for the series has either dropped it or have come to a complete stand still, not having continued work on it for nearly a year now. I believe that if you were to take over this little project and finish it through (the series itself is only 4 volumes long much like Onani Master Kurosawa), you will win the hearts of others like me even more for doing so and have an even larger fan base. I look forward to your other releases in the future, and I hope you can do something, when you feel like it of course. Thanks if you take the time to read this lengthy message.
