1. How the hell are you doing this so fast?
Well, since it’s a one-man operation I can clean, translate, and edit simultaneously. I don’t have to worry about any downtime. Depending on what I’m working on, 20 pages will take anywhere from 2-4+ hours depending on how much text there is and whatever else needs to be done. I apologize in advance for crappy image quality. All I do is clean and level if necessary. I don’t know how to do stitching or anything. If you’re looking for super HQ scans, then wait for someone else to do them. If you want to use my text and make some HQ version of your own, I’m fine with that, just put my name down there somewhere and leave a note here to let me know.
2. I found an error in your translation / awkward grammar / typo.
Feel free to point them out. I’m only human, and at some point I want to go back and fix my mistakes.
3. Can I donate to you?
No need, your appreciation is payment enough for me. I’d rather you find some way you can support the series’ creator or artist. Thanks for your thoughts, though.
4. Can I recommend you something to do?
Feel free to leave a note here or something. If it interests me, I’ll try to get around to it. I’m not going to do guro or /d/ stuff.

Nice job on Kurosawa, though I refuse to acknowledge it’s ending. One manga that /a/ constantly enjoys but still scans is Blood Alone, which pretty much at a standstill since v.4. OC scans released the first part of v.5. but that was months ago. If you could scan it, it would be great however, the raws are difficult to find.

Thanks for translating OMK! It must be a lot of work for one person. If you have enough time to translate something else, you could try picking up The World God Only Knows/Kami Nomi zo Shiru Sekai. Red Hawk Scanlations is pretty slow at their work… =/

On a whim, I ordered both volumes of Mizuiro Splash (see http://www.mangaupdates.com/series.html?id=11748) from Amazon.co.jp. I’ve done scanlations before, and want to do it again with these two volumes. But I need a translator. I’m cool with doing everything else.

I’d like to finish reading ‘Me and The Devil Blues’ which got dropped years ago just because some american publisher picked it up…and the american publisher still hasnt released more than what was scanlated.

EE, great work on OMK. You’re like a one man army and the results of your work are just top notch. Since OMK is coming to an end i wanted to suggest “Wolf Guy – Ookami no Monshou” as your next series. It’s a seinen from the makers of Akumetsu, the art is fantastic and there’s currently 4 raw volumes out, all on mangahelpers. There’s currently 7-8 chapters translated by Iryuu but they release a chapter once a month or so. Please check it out, i hope you like it and pick it up. :)

take a week of rest or two. you definitely deserve the long rest. just dont pay any mind to the scanlation/translation request by some of your fans…if they really is a true OMK fan, they know that patience is a virtue. and back in the old days, OMK releases are pretty much slower compared to other releases. shame on you people.
i’ve been following the series right from the start. for a long time. and i’d say you have been doing a great job. your quality is on par. and your speed is well, read above comments. you get no more flattery from me.
last, thanks again for the releases. now get yourself a new job and a nice girlfriend. if anything fails, get a maya purple card and get into hiding for a while. people will probably look for you day and night to get you to be their bitch in their team/scanlate a damn series for their pleasure. my advice : change and life live. just like the man Kurosawa. now thats a man.

I really want to thank you for finishing Onani Master Kurosawa, it started out as a hilarious parody type comic, but then near the last 6 chapters or so actually blossomed into a well developed comic that tried to personify real high school life, and I think it did it pretty well.

Seems like you’re a busy guy and you’ve probably already been swamped with suggestions about what manga to translate. Well I’d like to add to the list. There’s a manga called Ressentiment, simple put its about a 30 something virgin that lives in a bleak world where virtual reality exists. Stolen from anime news network site: “In 2015, AI development has reached the point where dating sims and the like are almost real. Takuro is a fat, balding loser who is feeling panicked by the onset of his 30s and lack of a woman. At his friend’s insistence, Takuro decides to give up on real women forever and take the VR plunge. What follows is not as planned, however, and leads Takuro questioning if VR is really the best thing.”
The first 2 volumes have been translated, but the last 2 have not. Excellent raws are available, no need for cleaning. I could probably go ahead and clear the speech bubbles and tidy things up, all that’s left is pure translation. If you’d like to take on the manga then send me an email.
Man, that manga is good, but it depresses the hell out of me.

The scanlations are slow as hell, it has a great premise, and the first(only?) volume has been released.
I agree with the Saitama Chainsaw Shoujo guy. The people doing it currently are distributing it through IRC only/cool kids club and it’s impossible to get chapter 3.

Seems like it’s only a short 1-volume thing. I don’t want to jump into their way if there’s only a few chapters left, sorry – no offense to you guys or anything.
To be fair, I still haven’t gotten my mind completely set on any one series yet, so I’m still open for suggestions.
The problem with deciding on something is that I have to go back and read all of the previous material, especially if it’s something that’s currently in progress/halted. I can’t just jump in midway without knowing what I’m getting into, because that wouldn’t be fair to the readers or to the author.
At any rate, I’ve become a great deal more busy with real life things recently, so once I’ve finished with the OMK text, hopefully I’ll have figured out what I’m going to work on next.
Well, as I said in my previous post, “Suicide Island” looks like the perfect manga for you, only 5 chapters translated, Red hawk Scanlations drooped it. The manga has a very interesting story and makes us think about life in general.

Please consider doing “Jouou” which is a seinen about the nightlife in Roppongi as a club hostess. It’s a rather unique series and it only has 3 chapters scanlated and that was 2 years ago. There is raws available all the way to the end of the series so there is no wait time for more new raws to come out. See if it catches your interests.

I got a suggestion: Gamble Fish. Its a psychological gambling manga, sort of like Kaiji. There are 60+ raw chapters but only 5 translated chapters. Its interesting to see how he does the tricks. Not sure if theres a fanbase for this manga but, if you take it up there probably will be. Thanks.
If you aren’t busy with another manga I have a suggestion for one: Wolf Guy – Ookami no Monshou. It is created by the same people who made Akumetsu, and trust me it is definitely better than Akumetsu it’s faster paced with a lot less dialogue to slow you down. The 11 chapters have been good so far and if you like werewolves, violence, and mature situations then you should translate this. I will post the link for the site that has the chapters:

hey, just wanted to say that, if you plan on ever starting a new project, then I HIGHLY RECOMMEND scanlating “Hakaiou Noritaka” please, it’s a great a manga that has been abandoned since the beginning of the year, so I hope you can work on it if you ever plan to start a new project! keep up the great work with the recent releases, though.

The anime adaption was very good but covered only half of the entire series. The group that was scanlating this released one chapter and broke apart. It’s been 3 years since the last release and I’ve been praying for someone to take it up again. I would really appreciate it if you even just consider it.
