I fucking love you, I’m so happy they brought back GTO. It’s probably my favorite manga.
i’m not sure this is a sequel but more like a spin-off
It’s a sequel. It takes right off from where the original left off, but instead of the same story he finds himself going to Shonan for 14 days (or rather he spends 14 days there). Hence, why in the first chapter, the original characters find out he is missing.
This is not a sequal to the original. It’s a spin off story that was supposed to take place sometime during the original series.
The exact point it takes place in is mentioned in the first chapter.
